Notes from Albuquerque Animal Services - Eastside
MEET CASEY!Personality: Professional Tail-Wagger & Certified Good BoyCasey is the kind of dog who sees you and immediately thinks, “Oh good, my favorite human has arrived!” This handsome young, 34-pound Pit Bull mix is incredibly sweet and affectionate, coming right over for attention like it’s his full-time job. Expect happy tail wags, snuggles, and a whole lot of love. Casey is also a fun-loving guy who enjoys a good play session. Toss a toy and he’s ready to join in! He loves exploring, sniffing out interesting smells, and discovering new things. He also loves finding hidden treats in a box filled with crumpled paper—a fun way to put his nose and brain to work. On a recent overnight outing, Casey rode quietly in the car, enjoyed a neighborhood walk, and settled in beautifully at home. He was quiet overnight, had no indoor accidents, and was wonderfully snuggly and affectionate. In the morning, he was ready to play, then happily settled while breakfast was underway. He enjoys being outdoors and can entertain himself quietly for a while, too. Out and about, Casey has been friendly with people and other dogs. He was especially lovely around a young child who gently petted him while he rested; Casey stayed relaxed and comfortable. He enjoys getting out to explore, though he may pull a bit when an especially interesting smell is calling. Casey would love a home that includes him in the fun—think neighborhood walks, hikes, outdoor adventures, playtime, and plenty of affection. He may also enjoy having another friendly dog around. Most of all, he’s a loving, playful companion who can enjoy an adventure and then settle in for some quality snuggle time. Ready for a happy, affectionate sidekick? Casey is waiting to meet you!
