Notes from Albuquerque Animal Services - Eastside

Meet Romy! Your Couch-Cuddling, Squeaky-Toy-Loving Bestie! At just 2 years old and 36 pounds, Romy is the perfect little package of squishy-faced cuteness! This adorable girl has a medium energy level, meaning she’s always up for a little fun but is just as happy to kick back on the couch and enjoy some quality cuddle time with her favorite humans. Romy is currently living in a foster home, where she’s showing off what a great houseguest she can be. She’s crate-trained, sleeps through the night, figured out the dog door on day one, and hasn’t had a single potty accident in the house. Talk about a quick learner! When it’s playtime, Romy loves squeaky toys and playing fetch. When the fun winds down, she’s ready to snuggle up beside you and soak up the love. She enjoys the company of her people and would love a home where she can be someone’s special companion. Romy currently lives with dogs of various sizes, but she prefers being the star of the show rather than having a canine best friend. She may do best as your one-and-only dog. Cats aren't really her thing, either, so a cat-free home would be the best fit. She hasn't been around children, but her foster family thinks she'd be most comfortable with older kids. Could Romy be your perfect match? If you're looking for an adorable, affectionate companion who enjoys playtime just as much as couch time, come meet this squishy-faced sweetheart. Romy is ready to trade shelter life for a home of her very own!
