Notes from Albuquerque Animal Services - Westside

Meet Lucky – Not Feeling Too Lucky to End Up in the Shelter! Hi there, I’m Lucky, a 2-year-old Pit Bull mix, and lately my name has been doing some serious false advertising! I may not feel very lucky right now, but maybe YOU could be the reason my luck finally changes! I’m a friendly fellow who loves attention and leans right in for pets. I’ll happily follow my people around, keeping them company and making sure they don’t get lost without me. But let another dog show up, and suddenly I have a new mission! I’m VERY interested in other dogs and have shown playful dog energy. Proper dog introductions are still a good idea to see if we’re a match! Toys are another one of my interests. Throw one, and I’m ready to chase it! Picking it up and bringing it back, though? Let’s not get carried away with all these expectations. Luckily, I’m already pretty good on leash, so we can enjoy walks together without negotiating every step. My motto: Hot dogs are overrated, toys are for chasing, and my forever family is out there somewhere. Is it you?
