Notes from Albuquerque Animal Services - Westside

Meet Ranger – The Tall, Dark, and Handsome Treat Inspector! Hi there! I’m Ranger, a 9-year-old German Shepherd mix with a big heart, a tall frame, and plenty of pep left in my step! I may be a distinguished gentleman, but I’m nowhere near ready for the rocking chair. I’ve still got places to go, people to meet, and treats to collect! I’m an easygoing walking buddy who hops right onto the leash and gets down to business when nature calls. After taking care of that important business, I'll come right over and sit in front of you and will look at you as if I was saying, “Excellent! Now, where’s my treat?” I know how to sit, take treats gently, and I’m VERY treat motivated. Consider me a highly qualified snack enthusiast with excellent manners! I’m also a friendly, affectionate guy who leans in for pets and hands out sloppy kisses like they’re going out of style. At my tall size, I’m basically a built-in cuddle tower! If you’re looking for a handsome, well-mannered companion who enjoys a good walk, appreciates a tasty snack, and believes everyone deserves a little Shepherd-sized love, I might just be your guy. Ranger’s motto: Walk first, business handled, treats collected, kisses delivered. Repeat as needed!
