Notes from Albuquerque Animal Services - Eastside

Wait... 15 years old? We checked his paperwork twice because there's just no way! Oso apparently discovered the fountain of youth and forgot to tell the rest of us where it is. This handsome senior still has plenty of pep in his step. He happily trots along on walks, is easy to handle on leash, and enjoys getting out to explore. He also likes to go for walks with other well behaved dogs his size. Oso listens well, knows general commands, and always remembers to take treats gently. He is housebroken and exceptionally well mannered indoors. He also rides very nicely in the car. Oso is a quiet, reserved guy and can be nervous in new situations, but once he settles in he easily goes with the flow. He even still gets the occasional zoomie in the yard after which he likes to sit by your side and chill. He enjoys soft head pets and belly rubs and will give gentle tail wags for his favorite humans. Oso still enjoys occasionally chewing on toys such as tennis balls, rope toys and stuffed plushies. This no nonsense senior would love a home where he can enjoy leisurely walks, hanging out with you and a comfy place to nap. No kids please due to age and sensitivity. If you're looking for a best friend with wisdom and just the right amount of energy to help you get your daily step count in, Oso is ready to show you that senior dogs really are the best dogs.
