Notes from Albuquerque Animal Services - Eastside

I promise to capture your heart and hold it dearly. But I would like you to promise me you will hold mine too. We might be alike, you and me, if your favorite place is a comfy, quiet nook. Perhaps you're known as an introvert. I think that's what they'd call me too. I am gentle, polite and will follow you wherever you go. I appreciate petting and attention but would like to gain trust and confidence first... it will not take me very long at all to do that once I'm home with you. Volunteers leash me up easily and I walk nicely too. I am beautiful, elegant even. Though I am in  my mature years, I can run! I may show social shyness with new people  but I am still cordial and try my hardest to show you I can be the best friend you are looking for. I do wag at other dogs at the shelter as I pass by, but I'm not the `let's romp around` type. I am truly more of  the `me and you and let's be a pack of two`  type. Looking forward to going home soon. Love, Athena
