JAKE
American Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (medium coat) · Adult (4 years 6 months) · Male · Large · Albuquerque, NM
Notes from Albuquerque Animal Services - Eastside
Jake is the kind of dog who makes being a dog parent look easy. He is an absolute dream to walk—he walks nicely on leash without pulling, barking, or jumping, making him a wonderful companion for strolls around the neighborhood, the yard, or wherever your adventures take you. Jake is also incredibly people-oriented and affectionate. He loves getting attention and pets, often stopping by to check in with his person before heading off to explore. He has a sweet, easygoing personality and is happy to spend time with you while also being comfortable exploring independently. Jake has been a pleasure to handle in the play yards and is very easy to leash and take in and out of his kennel. He appears to be house trained, keeping his kennel clean and doing his business outside. He is a polite gentleman who takes treats gently, knows how to sit, and is easygoing from beginning to end—including returning to his kennel. Jake has been out with volunteers multiple times and has consistently shown what a calm, affectionate, and well-mannered guy he is. At a great size with such a wonderful temperament, Jake seems like he could be truly move-in ready. He would love the chance to get out more, meet more people, and show everyone what a special companion he can be. If you're looking for an affectionate, easy-to-walk, gentle guy who is happy to be by your side, Jake just might be your perfect match.
