Notes from Burlington County Animal Alliance
Hi! My name is Nyx and I am looking for a forever home. I was an owner surrender to a small rescue by a backyard breeder who gave up several of us. A volunteer with that rescue reached out to BCAA to see if they could help me and another dog (Nigel who is a standard poodle) and they said yes! The folks were told I was a goldendoodle but I don't come with any type of paperwork. My coat was on the matted side so I was partically shaved down right before coming to my BCAA foster. The vet said I appear to be around 2 years old and I appear to be a good weight at around 56lbs. My foster parents say neither Nigel or I seem to be the typical backyard breeder dogs that have come into foster in the past as we are pretty social and love that we are now able to get some attention. When we go out in the exercise yard, we are having a blast running around and we are pretty energetic; however, get us in a room with some one-on-one attention and both of us become love bugs and puddles. We get along with each other but haven't met the other smaller dogs here one-on-one yet; neither of us have shown too much interest in the cats we have encountered. While I really don't want to go into my crate and would prefer to be out with you, I have done good in one without any accidents or barking. I'm doing ok on leash but will pull some in my excitement on being out on an adventure as everything is new and exciting to me. If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.
