Notes from Wag On Inn Rescue

Summit is a friendly boy who is now in NJ!

Meet Summit, your daily dose of joy!

Some dogs bounce off the walls… Summit would rather hang out with you! This handsome guy was picked up as a stray and never claimed, which is hard to believe once you meet him. He’s friendly with all people, wonderful with kids, and absolutely adores any attention he can get. Summit is house and crate-trained, well-mannered on leash, and a perfect gentleman in the car. He’s great at entertaining himself and, with his easygoing, laid-back personality, is extremely easy to live with.

Summit also LOVES his toys. Toss one his way and watch his goofy, playful side shine. He’s happy carrying his stuffy around or chasing a ball in the yard for a bit before quietly settling in to relax by your side. If you’re looking for a dog who can make you laugh and keep you company, Summit is your guy!

Summit is not reactive to other dogs, and has happily played with his canine friends in the past, but he may be dog-selective so a meet-and-greet will be important! He may be the kind of dog who would rather have all the attention to himself, and he has more than enough love to give!

Summit is fixed, micro-chipped, and up-to-date on vaccines. He completed his heart worm treatment and is doing great! His adoption donation is $500.

Adopting an animal is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these animals have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.

What happens next

  1. Contact Wag On Inn Rescue using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Wag On Inn Rescue, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
