Nyah - Small Survivor, Big Heart
Jack Russell Terrier / Mixed · Young (10 months) · Female · Oakhurst, NJ
Notes from Wag On Inn Rescue
Meet Nyah — A Smart, Happy Girl with a Big Personality!
Nyah has come such a long way, and she’s ready for the next chapter of her story! This sweet Jack Russell mix arrived as a stray after overcoming demodex and a serious burn injury along her back. Today, she’s healthy, fully vetted, and showing everyone just how wonderful she is.
Nyah is an affectionate, playful, and incredibly smart girl who loves people, toys, and having fun. She’s done wonderfully with her Board & Train program and is house and crate-trained, sleeps soundly through the night, and knows sit, down, place, stay, and come. Her leash manners are continuing to improve, and she has even enjoyed outings to places like Lowe’s, TJ Maxx, and Home Depot!
Like many young, energetic dogs, Nyah can get excited and overstimulated when there’s a lot going on, but she is eager to learn and responds well to guidance. She does well with other dogs and would love a canine companion who can keep up with her playful energy. She is also mostly good with cats, although she may occasionally be tempted to give chase.
Nyah has a wonderful temperament and a big personality. She’s looking for a family who will continue building on all the great progress she’s made and give her plenty of exercise, structure, love, and opportunities to show off how smart she is.
Nyah is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, spayed, and microchipped. Her adoption donation is $600.

Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through, they deserve a loving, committed home.
