Meet Marley – A Shy, Sweet Girl Learning to Trust Again
Marley is a shy, gentle, and incredibly sweet Australian Cattle Dog mix who has been through a lot of change. After unexpectedly losing her beloved owner, Marley found herself searching for a new sense of security and stability.
Since arriving in NJ, Marley has shown just how far a little patience and kindness can go. She can be wary of new people at first and will need some time to feel comfortable, but once she realizes she's safe, her sweet personality begins to shine. Marley is an affectionate girl who absolutely adores her foster family. She gives the best kisses, love to snuggle, and can always be found close to her people. Marley has come out of her shell in such a short time and has shown everyone what a loving dog she really is.
Marley is sweet with kids and calm around other dogs. While she's not particularly interested in playing with them, she peacefully and happily coexists and has shown absolutely no aggression. She's a smart, independent girl who learns quickly and enjoys having a routine. Marley is fully house-trained and walks nicely on a leash. Her crate is her safe space where she goes to decompress and feel secure. She's a very quiet girl and has proven to be very low-maintenance in her foster home.
Marley is looking for a family who will give her the patience, consistency, and love she needs to continue building confidence at her own pace. In return, she'll reward you with the sweetest companionship once she knows she's home.
Marley is up-to-date on vaccines, spayed, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworm. Her adoption fee is $500.
Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through, they deserve a loving, committed home.
