Notes from Great Plains Pointer Rescue

Update - Foster Found! We are working on transport and Remi will be joining GPPR in the upcoming weeks!

____________________________________________________

Remi is in need of a home after her owner passed away unexpectedly.

Remi is described as a very nice dog with a sweet personality. Remi plays well with other dogs and is good with children.

Remi has a hunting background and has lived in an outdoor kennel. Remi is reportedly not good with cats, so a cat free foster home will be needed.

Because Remi has only lived in an outdoor kennel, Remi will need to learn how to live in a home. GPPR dogs are indoor dogs, so the foster family will need to be prepared to help Remi learn the routines and expectations of indoor living, including potty training. Patience will be especially important as Remi adjusts to a completely new environment.

We are looking for a foster home willing to give Remi the time and patience needed to make the transition from outdoor kennel life to living indoors.

Could you foster Remi?

What happens next

  1. Contact Great Plains Pointer Rescue using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Great Plains Pointer Rescue, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
