Notes from Rutherford County Animal Control

Meet Nina! Nina is approximately 3 and a half years old and weighs around 55 pounds, though she doesn't look very big with her short little legs and long body! She is a very sweet girl who loves loves loves hugs and quality time with her people! With her jumping up for a hug and when it comes to treats her coordination is lacking, we don't think a home with small children would be best suited for her. Nina's previous owner was an older individual who had her crate trained, though do to the situation Nina was eventually placed in when the owner could no longer care for her, Nina may not do well in a crate. Nina does well on a lead, but can be a bit selective with the dogs that she likes so we do recommend a dog-to-dog meet and greet here at the facility before going home to another dog. Nina is up to date on vaccines and treatments, spayed, heartworm negative and ready for her forever family! If you are interested in meeting with Nina to adopt or to foster, please call us at (828)980-0016 or email us at rutherfordanimalcontrol@heartofthefoothills.org
