Notes from Orange County Animal Services
Hello. I'm an older guy and I'm incredibly handsome but also a sensitive soul. I was surrendered to the shelter when my owner could no longer care for me. I'm a little shy and I'll need time to adjust in a new home. I'll need a home without small children because I need everyone to go slowly with me and respect my boundaries. I'm a stylishly senior pet and therefore my adoption fee has been reduced. If you are 65 and older and interested in adopting me, ask staff about our Senior Squared deal! Go to this page for more information about available pets, adopting, visiting our facility, and contacting our adoption desk. Insights from my adventure buddies and foster friends:Oliver is a 10-year-old terrier with lots of love to give. He is a somewhat mellower dog but nevertheless loves going on adventures in the community. He loves exploring nature and sniffing his surroundings, and he is also content sitting down and spending time with humans. Oliver does very well getting in cars and staying safe while riding in them. He loves to stick his head out the window and catch the breeze. Oliver is a gentleman of a dog and would do great with any human. We went on a walk on the Bolin Creek trail at the Chapel Hill Community Center and stopped to say hi to some humans on our way! After this, we spent some time sitting at the Community Center park. We then drove to Lanza's Cafe in Carrboro and hung out outside. Oliver seemed to enjoy every aspect of the day. I love Oliver's mellow and friendly energy. He is a gentle and kind dog.
