Notes from Greater Charlotte SPCA

Meet Oyster, a 3-year old, 44 pound, beagle and basset hound mix with a sweet, easygoing personality! This delightful boy gets along wonderfully with other dogs and loves nothing more than exploring the backyard or taking a pleasant neighborhood walk. Once his outdoor adventures are complete, Oyster’s favorite place to be is curled up on the couch right beside his foster mom, soaking up all the pets and affection he can get. Being both house and crate trained, he is a well-mannered companion who will make an effortless and seamless addition to a loving household. Oyster is a total gentleman in public and has done great around children. In his foster home, he finds chasing the resident cat to be a fun game, so he will do best in a home with no cats. If you are searching for a chill, friendly, and affectionate guy to complete your family, look no further than Oyster!

If you are interested in adopting Oyster, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age.

**Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **
