Notes from Pawfect Match Rescue

Meet Amber – Our Handsome Little Woodland Boy!

First things first, despite his rather pretty name, Amber is actually a boy! And what a gorgeous little boy he is!

Amber is one of Mama Willow's six precious Woodland Babies, rescued by Pawfect Match when he was just around two weeks old following a heartbreaking start to life.

Now almost five weeks old, this handsome little chap is absolutely thriving in his foster home, growing into a gorgeous, sturdy little pup with the most beautiful rich golden coat, adorable wrinkles and a face you just want to smooch!

So what's Amber like?

Well, he's a bit of a lovely middle-of-the-road kind of chap! He's not the most rambunctious of the bunch, but he's certainly not the quietest either. He's quite happy sitting somewhere in the middle of all the puppy chaos, joining in when the mood takes him and watching the world go by when it doesn't!

He loves playing with his brothers and sisters, investigating his toys and getting involved in a little puppy mischief. But Amber is also a big fan of a good snooze, preferably somewhere warm and cosy!

And cuddles? Oh, this boy LOVES his cuddles! He's definitely one of the cuddle bugs of the Woodland bunch. Pick him up for a snuggle and you'll quickly understand why his foster mummy is so completely smitten with him!

He's a lovely balance of playful puppy and snuggly little companion, although at this age, his personality is still developing.

And he's already learning so much!

Amber is being raised in a busy, loving foster home where he's getting a wonderful introduction to family life. He's been socialised with resident dogs both large and small, is becoming familiar with all the usual household noises and is getting used to travelling in the car.

As he grows, he'll continue to be gently introduced to new sights, sounds, surfaces and experiences appropriate for his age, helping him build confidence and prepare for life beyond the Woodland nursery.

And here's something else we're rather proud of – Amber is doing brilliantly with his pee pad training! He's still a tiny baby, of course, with lots more learning ahead of him, but he's making a lovely start!

His beautiful Mama Willow is a dainty 21lb mixed breed, but Dad remains a complete mystery! Amber is already one of the sturdier babies, with chunky little paws and a stocky build, so we wouldn't be surprised if he grows quite a bit bigger than his mama. But that's all part of the mystery of adopting a Woodland Baby!

He's still only a baby, with so much growing, learning and discovering ahead of him, and we can't wait to see the lovely dog he becomes.

Amber won't be ready to leave for his forever home until he's at least eight weeks old, but applications are welcome now!

If you're looking for a gorgeous little boy who enjoys a good play, appreciates a proper snooze and thinks cuddles are one of life's greatest pleasures, Amber might just be your perfect match.

Could you be the lucky family who gets to love this gorgeous Woodland boy forever? ❤️
