Notes from New Hanover County Sheriff's Office Animal Services Unit

Lizzy & Libby are such big bundles of love. They are such happy girls, so excited to get attention, tails are always going and will flop over for a good belly rubbing at every chance they can. These 2 girls are former housemates and were kept in a single crate together at all times except when it was potty time and then back into a crate they went. Both of these girls are overweight for what they should be and the shelter kennel staff have started them on a limit of food intake. These girls do great together and we know adopting 2 dogs can be a big responsibility so they can be adopted together or separately. Libby & Lizzy were adopted from another shelter last year, moved to North Carolina just to be surrendered back to another shelter due to no fault of their own. These amazing girls deserve to have a forever home and not a temporary home. One shelter kennel staff said if she didn't have several dogs already she would adopt these girls today! ????That's how amazing these 2 are. Come on out to the shelter and adopt Lizzy & Libby! Adoption hours are Monday-Friday 11:00-3:30 & Saturday 8:00-11:30.
