Notes from Orange County Animal Services

Insights from my adventure buddies and foster friends:Mocha will steal your heart and your socks! She is extremely high energy and sweet. She is timid in meeting new people, places, and sounds. She never barks and only stands near you or tries to run when scared. She was scared when entering the house at first and nervous to meet my spouse. Once she settled in, she really made herself at home. She is very nosy and is always sniffing through your things. She loves socks and steals them if left out. She did great staying over and slept in a separate room for about 8hours with no issues or accidents. She went out every 2-3 hours during the day and stood by the door when she needed out. She wants to follow you everywhere and be involved in whatever you do. She insists on sitting on the couch or bed with you. She struggles to settle down unless she is sitting with you, even if there is a comfy bed on the floor. She did great running errands in the car. She loves toys and playing fetch. We spent about 1hr in the fenced yard playing fetch, and she still had energy after. She enjoyed hiking and long walks but pulls on the leash, especially for squirrels. She would do best with a high energy family, a big yard, and maybe some training to manage these puppy manners. She is genuinely so sweet and loves pets. She really loves her humans once she gets to know you.
