Notes from Adam's Folly

SPECIAL NEEDS ALERT! Meet Sally! I am a DEAF 4 year old hound who weighs about 40 pounds. I am very pretty. I can be playful and fun when I want to. I am curious and smart, but I can't hear commands or reprimands so you need to figure out how to communicate with me. I respond to touch and I like to see you. I am crate trained, good with other dogs and cats and older kids. If you have other dogs I will follow them around and do what they do and I am very food motivated. I want to be with people and I cry when I am left alone. I can be quite vocal since I can't hear myself--so no apartment living for this girl. I tested positive for Heartworms and they are treating me. There is no extra charge for it. They cover the cost. I can go foster to adopt through the treatment since it is a longer process. Do you have any experience with deaf dogs? Can you help them help me? Call Jill at (910) 620-3783 for a personal meet and greet.

What happens next

  1. Contact Adam's Folly using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Adam's Folly, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
