Notes from Southeast German Shepherd Rescue

Located: Raleigh, NC

Bucky is approx 2-3 yrs old, found by a good Samaritan near Fayetteville, NC. He had collapsed, was injured and received medical care at an ER vet and was eventually transferred to Animal control. His injuries indicate he has not had any easy life. He was malnourised, had some trauma to his head, double ear infections and had birdshot in his paw. - YES, someone shot this dog in the paw. He is heartworm positive and needs to complete his treatment before he can be adopted. Bucky is extremely kind and trusting towards people. He likes head pets, and then immediately plops down for belly rubs. He is crate trained, housebroken and absolutely loves his stuffed toys and chasing a ball. Bucky will do best in a home with older childer, no cats and would prefer to be an the only dog. We are currently taking applications on him, however, he will not be available for a few months.
