Notes from Greater Charlotte SPCA

Meet Lucy! Your New Best Friend

Lucy is a loving, happy girl with a big personality and a heart full of love! One of her favorite things is greeting you when you come home, making sure you know just how happy she is to see you.

Lucy is house-trained, walks well on a leash, and loves being part of the action. Whether you’re heading out for a walk, enjoying a bike ride, or simply spending time together, Lucy is always ready to join the fun!

She currently lives in a loving foster home with children and another dog, giving her experience being part of a family environment. Lucy is quirky, full of life, and sure to keep you smiling with her charming personality.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will greet you with love, join you on adventures, and fill your home with happiness, Lucy might just be your perfect match!

Lucy is ready to find her forever home and give someone a lifetime of love. Could that someone be you?

If you are interested in adopting Lucy, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age.

**Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **

What happens next

  1. Contact Greater Charlotte SPCA using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Greater Charlotte SPCA, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
