Notes from 4 Paws 4 Rescue

This sweet boy was adopted from us as a puppy in 2016 and spent his entire life with a family. Sadly, we were recently notified that he was found in a known dumping area, where residents caught him on camera at night being chased by coyotes. Thankfully, a wonderful person stepped in to save him and immediately contacted us because his microchip was still registered with our rescue. We went and got him right away, and he has been resting and doing wonderfully in his foster home! We contacted his original adopter, who let us know they could no longer care for him and did not want him back. And that's okay, because we made Raylan a promise: His next family will be his FOREVER family!

Now, let's talk about this amazing gentleman!

We found the answer to the question, "Who is the goodest of good boys?" And it's THIS sweet guy, Raylan!

We believe Raylan is a 50lb German Shepherd/Cattle Dog mix, so he's got plenty of love, affection, and a desire to keep an eye on what you're doing throughout the day. At 10 years young, his wild and crazy days are behind him, and he's ready for an easygoing, loving home where he can enjoy the good life. Think cozy naps, leisurely days, companionship, and lots of love!

A few things to love about Raylan: Good with other dogs, not been cat tested, Housebroken, Knows several commands, Not destructive when left unsupervised. Can be a little vocal so not a fit for an apartment. Sweet, mature, and an all-around GOOD BOY!

Who wants to open their heart and home to this sweet old man? He deserves a soft place to land and a family who will love him FOREVER!
