Notes from Minnesota Boxer Rescue

PUPDATE 10.23.26

Hi! Hi! Hi! Did I say hi yet? My name is Sally, but sometimes my foster mom calls me Salligator, Salmonella. I’ll respond to pretty much anything, especially when you tell me I’m a pretty girl. My fur must be velcro, because I Absolutley am stuck to my humans side 24/7 . I get anxious when you’re not around, but I promise to behave when you’re gone! That leads me to the thing they call a kennel. Can we just say, no thank you?! I am working hard on kennel training but it’s very scary for me. You see, I just want to be near and beside my humans at all times. I’m also working hard on commands. I know sit, stay, and am so close to mastering heel. I live with a thing that meows, but I really don’t mind it! I’m interested in the cat, but I don’t chase. I’ve been waiting patiently to be near the cat, and we finally sat together a few days ago! I love sleeping on the bed with my person/people. Walking? I’m a pro. I don’t pull on the leash, and I don’t zig-zag too much. If I see another dog on a walk, I just look in its direction. Call me to come and keep walking and I will! Seeing other humans on walks doesn’t bother me either. I am just eager to share my love with everyone! My foster mom says I’m one of the quietest Boxers ever… except for my snoring! I also live with tiny human that has special needs, and I’m so gentle with her! Again, just being near my humans is where I want to be. My foster mom says I’m an ambassador for being America’s Sweetheart!
