Notes from Mower County Humane Society

Wrangler arrived from the city pound on 10/13/2026 when his legal stray hold was finished. We think he's a hound mix of some kind. There could be some mountain cur, some beagle, or some catahoula in there. He is a medium-sized boy and we're guessing he's 3 to 4 years old. He will be vet checked and neutered on Nov. 3rd and his fee is $150.

Wrangler is an active, bouncy, and talkative dog who does like to make his opinion known. He has an enthusiastic zest for life. He will require regular exercise and might need a bit of basic obedience training. He is definitely a fun-loving guy who doesn't seem like he'd have a problem with other playful dogs. Cats are probably a no. Kids over 5 would be best. Not a dog for apartment living.

NOTE: Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org.

We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South.

We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.
