Notes from Pennington County Humane Society

đŸŸ Feyre — 3‑Year‑Old Shepherd/Husky MixFeyre is a gentle, timid Shepherd-Husky mix looking for a calm, understanding home. She warms up slowly but sweetly — taking about a day to trust adults and about a week to feel comfortable with children, after which she enjoys gentle pets and quiet companionship. She is house‑trained and enjoys simple routines: morning and evening meals, time in a fenced yard, and sleeping on her dog bed. Feyre loves training with tiny pieces of hot dog, being pet, and exploring the outdoors. She learned stairs with positive reinforcement and mastered the doggy door in just a few days carpet cleaner, garbage disposal, lawn mower, dropped items) Occasional excited jumping, corrected easily Will move away....Feyre is a sensitive soul. She startles at loud household noises and is fearful of leashes and harnesses. She is timid but non‑aggressive, even when approaching another dog's food bowl. She does have significant digging and escape behaviors, including digging under fencing and chewing/tugging at barriers to pursue small wildlife. She will need a home prepared to manage or prevent escape attempts, ideally with a secure setup or a rural environment where traditional fencing is less critical. Feyre is good with other dogs and children, spayed, vaccinated, and ready for a patient adopter who can help her feel safe and supported as she settles in.📞 Pennington County Humane Society 218‑681‑8045
