Notes from Underdog Rescue MN

Small in size, BIG in personality! Kansas is a happy, friendly, spunky little adventurer who’s fearless, a little sassy, and guaranteed to keep you smiling. This tiny girl lives life to the fullest and never lets her 6-pound frame stop her from making a BIG impression!

Kansas loves making new doggy friends, going on walks, riding in the car, and exploring the world around her. She’s also good with kitties! She may get a little vocal and excited when she spots potential new friends on walks, but don’t let her big opinions fool you — she’s just eager to say hello! Once she gets the chance to greet her new pals, she’s happy as can be.

When she’s not out adventuring, Kansas is all about the cozy life. Belly rubs? YES, PLEASE! Neck scratches? Absolutely! Chew bones? Her favorite! And if there happens to be food or a drink left unattended on the table, well… she considers herself the official taste tester. No snack is safe when this little opportunist is on duty!

Of course, every girl has her nemesis, and Kansas is no exception. SQUIRRELS. Her sworn arch enemies. ️ If there’s a squirrel in sight, you can bet she has something to say about it!

Kansas is a cuddly, lovable, larger-than-life little lady with a fearless heart, a playful spirit, and enough sass to fill a dog ten times her size. She’s equal parts adventure buddy and snuggle bug, and she’s ready to bring laughter, love, and a whole lot of personality into someone’s life.

At just 6 pounds, Kansas may be tiny, but her love is HUGE — and one thing’s for sure: life with Kansas will never be boring! ❤️

Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.
