Notes from Marshmallow Foundation

Meet Penny!

Penny is a super chill, laid-back Lab mix who’s ready to find her forever people. This sweet girl has a calm, easygoing vibe that makes her the perfect companion for a quiet, loving home.

She’d thrive best with a couple (no little kids) who can give her the time and patience to blossom. Penny loves nothing more than chasing and playing with her hard balls — it’s her favorite game and a great way to see her happy zoomies! She has excellent recall, which makes her a joy on walks and in the yard.

While she’s already a gentle, affectionate girl, Penny is still working on building her confidence. She’ll do best with a patient, consistent family who can help her grow more secure and outgoing at her own pace.

If you’re a laid-back couple looking for a loyal, playful sidekick who will happily snuggle on the couch after a good game of fetch, Penny might be the one for you!

Can't adopt right now? Marshmallow Foundation is looking for a foster home for Penny. Fostering is short-term, and the rescue usually covers food and vet care. Ask them about it.

What happens next

  1. Contact Marshmallow Foundation using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Marshmallow Foundation, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
