Notes from Macomb County Animal Shelter and Animal Control

She's got a big heart, a little sass, and absolutely no interest in following you to the bathroom. Meet our independent queen! At 7 years young, this girl knows a thing or two about life, love, and the importance of personal space. She's not your typical Velcro dog, and that's perfectly fine with her! She's independent, confident, and perfectly content doing her own thing. But don't let that fool you. She's got plenty of love to give, and when she's in the mood for affection, she's more than happy to dish out some kisses! She's also a big fan of her stuffies, knows how to sit, walks nicely on a leash, and is verytreat-motivated. She's got the brains, the beauty, AND the personality! Unfortunately, this sweet girl has found herself back at our shelter twice through no fault of her own. We've known her since she was just a baby, and while we love seeing her familiar face, we would much rather see her living her best life in a forever home. She's been with us since August 25, and we're starting to see shelter life take its toll. At 7 years old, she deserves a comfy couch, a collection of her favorite stuffies, and a family who appreciates a girl with a little independence. She enjoys the company of lower-energy dogs but would be just as happy being your one and only. She may also do well with cats given slow, proper introductions. She's spayed, current on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and ready to trade shelter life for the good life. She's not asking for much. Just a home to call her own, someone to share her kisses with, and the freedom to love you without having to supervise your every move. She's independent, she's loving, and she's more than ready for her happily ever after. Let's make sure her next home is her last. Lola adoption fee is SPONSORED
