Notes from New England Labrador Retriever Rescue
Both dogs are males and with Russell County . They are young. They have been togeher but are not fully bonded so can be adopted separately if need be. Kuda is a Mastiff and Echo is a white "Dudley “ lab male. I can’t leave behind the Mastiff and he is adorable and both are very loving and good dogs. More information is coming in. and all the vetting. Someone has offered to pay for the HW treatments. We are looking into asking Jenny Zinn if she can keep them during treatment and it will be about 2 months before they can come up. This is the convesation between the Russell County Shelter chat group and the person who is funding them.
"OK, it sounds like she wants to cover everything. This is what she said to me.
There are cheaper places to get it done, but they take longer. I'm paying $1000 for Echo and $1100 for Kuda. I wouldn't want to take that much money away from a rescue who is helping a lot of dogs. Because I wasn't sure I would have consistent access to them, I jumped on this one...Echo gets his first shot on Thursday, and 2 more, four wks later. He will have to be kept up for another month…"
But after that, I can get him(them) neutered for free. All information will go into ASM as it comes in and Jasper Alalbama is not far from Jenny and they will approach her and ask if they can be harbored with her . Or they will have to find a foster position for them.
