Story: Meet Summi, a sweet and gentle girl with a goofy boxer streak who is ready to find her forever family! Summi is a devoted shadow who loves nothing more than napping beside you on the couch (or in your lap!). She’s wonderfully calm and cuddly once she’s comfortable, takes treats with a soft mouth, and does great in her crate overnight. On walks she trots along nicely with little pulling and takes time to stop and smell the roses. Her playful side shines in the backyard, where she zooms around, chases tennis balls, and invites you into a joyful game of chase. Summi loves meeting other dogs, so a canine buddy to show her the ropes would be a perfect match. She’s a bit shy as she learns the world, so she’s looking for a patient, loving family who will give her some time to settle in and celebrate every small victory with her. She’s a sweetie and will make her future family very happy!

Summi tested positive for Heartworm. This is a very treatable illness that is common in many shelter dogs coming from the South. Treatment will be paid for by the rescue. For more information on heartworm, visit our blog.

The fee to adopt Summi is $475. That covers the cost of all her vaccines, the collar she’s wearing, and her care in her foster home. She’s up to date on all age appropriate vaccines.
