*ROSIE

Meet Rosie (A575394)! A 2 year old, female, 62lb Presa Canario and Cane Corso. A sweet, slow-simmer soul who is ready to leave her past behind and finally get the love she deserves. It's clear that life hasn't always been kind to Rosie. She appears to have been bred recently and was likely discarded once she was no longer needed, arriving with a slight limp and a world of uncertainty. But beneath her initial shyness is a resilient, deeply loving dog who is just begging for someone to show her kindness. Rosie asked for a gentle touch and a slow and steady approach—and the reward is beyond worth it. Once she feels safe with you, her cautious body language gives way to pure affection as she leans her entire body into you, soaking up love like she's been starving for it her whole life. Seeing her sweet little nubby tail wiggle with hopeful uncertainty will melt your heart in an instant. Here is what you should know about lovely Rosie:?? Affectionate & Trusting: Once you earn her trust, Rosie will melt right into your lap or side. She just wants to be near a kind person who will make her feel safe.????? Wonderful Leash Manners: Rosie walks so gently and nicely on the leash. When she pulls she will come right back to check in.?? Great Potty Habits: She pottied right away when taken outside, showing great instincts!?? Food & Snack Lover: Rosie is very eager for treats! She can be a bit mouthy when taking snacks, so using a flat hand or letting her catch them (she's a great catcher) will be a great way to reward her safely.?? Home Environment: Because she is sensitive and recovering from a hard past, Rosie will thrive best in a calm, quiet home with patient humans who will let her go at her own pace.?? Rosie showed gentle interest in other dogs she saw, but she hasn't had a formal dog evaluation just yet.*As always, slow introductions to resident animals after decompression is recommended Rosie has given so much of herself to the world, and now it’s her turn to be cherished as a beloved family member. If you have a quiet corner in your home and room in your heart to help a deserving girl heal, come meet Rosie today. ??? Please note: Thisnis a volunteer experience. The shelter can be a stressful and scary place, and a dog’s behavior here may not fully reflect how they’ll blossom once they feel safe and decompressed at home. Rosie is available to adopt at Prince George’s County Animal Shelter located at 3750 Brown Station Road Upper Marlboro, MDReel-https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1C2EWwpDsJ/
