Notes from Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center

Meet DuncanDuncan is a handsome 3-year-old Pit Bull mix with a friendly personality and excellent leash manners. This eager boy is always happy for an adventure and loves getting out to explore with his people. When it's time for a walk, Duncan is easy to harness and excited to head outside. While he may show a little enthusiasm by being mildly jumpy in his kennel, it's simply because he's ready to get going. Once out and about, Duncan settles in nicely and is a pleasure to walk. He walks calmly on leash with only a mild pull and is attentive to his handler. One of Duncan's standout qualities is his relaxed demeanor around other dogs. He has shown no reactivity when leaving his kennel, passing other dogs' runs, or walking along shelter pathways. His easygoing nature makes him a wonderful companion for outings and daily exercise. Staff and volunteers who have worked with Duncan over the past several weeks consistently describe him as easy to handle, cooperative, and enjoyable to spend time with. Duncan is looking for a family that will appreciate his friendly spirit, good manners, and enthusiasm for life.
