MEET LIONEL! - I am in a foster home, please come meet me on Saturdays and Sundays at the Boston shelter during adoption hours! Meet Lionel: a young pup with the athleticism of Messi and the charm of Ritchie. Lionel likes the simple things in life: playing fetch with his beloved tennis ball, spending some quality time rooting out the squeakers in his toys, and following his people around the apartment so he doesn’t miss one second of the action. Throughout his time in his foster home, Lionel has learned to tackle the elevator and master going up and down the stairs. Each day in a home leads to new discoveries including the joy of a long nap on the couch or simply laying curled up between his fosters during movie night waiting for a stray snack to fall his way. Not only has Lionel shown impressive feats of athleticism, he’s also proven himself to be incredibly smart. He’s already housebroken, knows some basic commands, and does really well in his crate. Out on walks he’s all about speed but it never stops him from wanting to say hi to every other dog and person he passes by. His fosters believe that Lionel is capable of learning dozens of impressive tricks especially with the proper food and toy motivators! If you’re looking for both a jock and a smarty pants, an attention seeking cuddler and an independent napper, Lionel is the guy for you! Lionel is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been neutered, microchipped and seen by our vet team. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY however, we are unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements.
