Notes from Joyful Pets Animal Rescue
Meet Brieanna Tarth!
A gentle six-year-old American Pitbull Terrier currently in Asheville, NC, whose essence is a warm ray of sunshine wrapped in a soft brown coat with charming white accents. Brie is the kind of companion who finds pure happiness in life’s simplest pleasures, like stretching out in golden sunbeams, savoring a good chew toy, and soaking up affection from the people around her. She is wonderfully social and thrives when she can spend her days close to her favorite humans, quietly keeping them company and offering her signature sweet kisses!
Brie carries herself with a calm, loving spirit and a big, joyful personality that shines through in every tail wag and gentle nuzzle. She is beautifully mannered and already knows an impressive list of commands, including sit, stay, come, lay down, and even politely waiting by the door when she needs to go outside. She listens closely and truly enjoys making her caregivers happy, responding well to positive reinforcement and routine.
Brie recently had a heartwarming introduction to kittens, and she impressed everyone with her gentle, respectful behavior! Initially more interested in exploring new smells, she remained calm and curious while observing kittens through a glass door. When introduced indoors, she showed little interest in chasing them. Even when a startled kitten hissed and swatted at her, Brie simply stopped, walked away, and gave the kitten space. Her relaxed reactions suggest she could be compatible with indoor or outdoor cats, especially with patient, gradual introductions.
Because Brie requires medication to manage her knee and hip conditions, she needs a peaceful, low activity lifestyle where she can relax without physical strain. While she may not run or wrestle like other dogs, she happily trades high energy play for cozy snuggles and steady companionship. She would be compatible with calm, respectful dogs and does well with older children who understand that she is happiest as a cuddle buddy rather than a playmate.
Brie’s heart is as big as her smile, and she is ready to share it with a family who can offer a caring environment, consistency, and lots of love. She would thrive with someone who is home often, perhaps working remotely or enjoying a quieter daily rhythm.
If you are ready to welcome a loyal, affectionate companion into your life, Brie is waiting to meet you! Could Brie be the loving presence your days have been missing? To learn more or begin the adoption journey, reach out at adopt@joyfulpets.com.
