NOT YET TAKING APPLICATIONS – NOT YET AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION

NEW INTAKE 10/14/2026: Basel - female - approx 1 year old - 8.6 pounds - Maltese

Reason for intake: We took in six dogs from animal control after they were seized due to neglect. They all had ear mites and flea dirt. As we were plucking their ears, we could tell it felt so good as they all moaned and were trying to scratch at their ears. It's surprising none of them had infected ears but thank goodness they didn't. Anyway, they are all going to our groomer and the vet to get everything they need and then we'll post them for adoption. We may be getting more from this situation and we'll post if and when we do.

NOT TAKING APPLICATIONS: Many dogs, particularly breeder, hoarder or senior dogs, can have multiple medical issues that need addressed. Additionally, sometimes we take in young puppies requiring multiple vaccinations and/or quarantining. In this particular case, we are not yet taking applications either due to age or possible illness or some other reason. We will post when s(he) is ready for adoption. In the interest of fairness, EARLY application submissions will NOT be considered. Please note… we cannot respond to messages/emails, etc., on dogs that are NOT yet available for adoption. Please wait until the dog is available for adoption. We will post him or her on Facebook in our Adoptable Dog Album pinned to the top of our page which you can follow at this link: https://www.facebook.com/share/1B46skRWF5/ OR you can keep checking our website at www.roadtorescuela.org. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.

What happens next

  1. Contact Ninna's Road to Rescue using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Ninna's Road to Rescue, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
