Notes from Animal Welfare League of Kosciusko County

Meet Cheyenne! She is a sweet, friendly, cuddly girl that loves life! She loves to see new people and will beg for all the love. She likes her walks; she pulls on her leash a bit, but she is a treat motivated girly and outside of the shelter environment, we think those leash manners can definitely be worked on! Dogs with food motivation makes new tricks so much easier to learn! At 5 years old, Cheyenne has pretty good manners. She is housetrained and will whine when she needs to go potty. She loves trying new treats and enrichment puzzles, and she takes her treats so nicely. She is also so playful! She loves to play and zoom around the yard. Tug of war is HER game! Cheyenne does well with children! Despite living with nine dogs in her previous home, she prefers male dogs and has not tested well with female dogs here at the shelter. She likes to be the dominant dog, so we do require a meet and greet here at the shelter before an adopter is able to take her home. Cheyenne is a sweetheart and deserves the best second half of her life. If you are interested in her, please reach out. She has been in our shelter over 6 months and is waiting for a home of her own. Give the shelter a call at (574) 267-3008 or email them at info@awlwarsaw.com if you have any questions about me! If not, stop by the shelter at 1048 S 325 E in Pierceton, IN 46562 to look at me! No appointments necessary!
