Skippy
Hound / Mixed · Senior · Male · Medium · Osgood, IN
Notes from Ripley County Humane Society
Skippy is hoping his happily-ever-after is just around the corner. This handsome 8-year-old hound has been waiting patiently for someone to see just how special he is, and we would love nothing more than to help him find a home to call his own! Skippy is a very friendly boy with people and is just a good ol’ hound dog! He has that classic hound charm that makes him one of a kind. He may not be a young pup anymore, but he still has so much love to give and deserves a family who will cherish him through his golden years. Skippy came to us after being hit by a car and was brought in by the police. He has some visual impairment, so he’ll need a patient, understanding family willing to help him navigate his surroundings and feel safe. He can also be selective with other dogs, and his compatibility with cats is unknown. This sweet boy has already been waiting far too long for his second chance. He doesn’t need a perfect home — just a loving one where he can feel secure, enjoy the simple things in life, and finally be someone’s beloved companion. Could you be the person who gives this sweet hound the chance he’s been hoping for? If you would like to meet any of our pets, they are available for viewing, every single day from noon until 3:30pm. If you have other dogs a meet and greet is required. Calling before a long drive is recommended to confirm availability.
