Notes from Wish Bone Canine Rescue

Meet Splooty! This 2-year-old, 15-pound tri-color possible Beagle/Dachshund mix is ready to find her forever family. After a rough start in a hoarding situation, Splooty found her way to Wish Bone and has blossomed into a sweet and playful young lady. She is a curious explorer who loves chasing balls, playing with toys, and sniffing her way through daily walks. She gets along well with other small dogs and, while a little shy at first with new humans, she warms up quickly to reveal her affectionate heart.

Ideal Home: Splooty loves being part of the pack! She prefers to sleep in the bedroom with her humans and resident dogs. Training Progress: She is currently working hard on her housetraining and will do best with a patient family who can keep her on a consistent routine. Crate Manners: She prefers open spaces over the crate and will let you know with a few vocal reminders if she feels confined.

If you are looking for a fun-sized, 15-pound companion, Splooty might be your perfect match! Her minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 rabies registration fee for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
