Jasper

Jasper is a 4-year-old Miniature Australian Shepherd weighing 32.2 pounds, and he’s a sweet, laid-back guy who would love nothing more than to spend time with his people! He’s potty trained, rides well in the car, and walks beautifully on a leash without pulling. He’s curious about other dogs on walks and stays calm even when they bark at him.

Jasper is a quick learner who already knows sit and has picked up go potty, lay down, paw, and other paw in just a few training sessions! He’s motivated by both treats and pets, making him a fun and rewarding pup to work with. He enjoys playing fetch, has great recall, and even drops his ball before coming inside. He’s also happy to share his toys and did great having his nails trimmed.

When playtime is over, Jasper is perfectly content to relax on the couch, soak up some pets, or follow you around the house to see what you’re up to. He doesn’t bark much in general and does well when left alone as long as he gets a treat before you go.

Jasper does have one important housing requirement: he can be quite vocal when crated or separated from his people, so he’ll need a home without shared walls.

If you’re looking for a smart, affectionate companion who enjoys walks, games of fetch, learning new tricks, and plenty of cuddle time, Jasper might just be your guy!

Jasper's minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.

He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
