Notes from Wish Bone Canine Rescue

Meet Sprig, a 7-month-old Jack Russell mix weighing in at 15 pounds of pure puppy charm! This sweet little girl has been friendly with the adults she’s met at the shelter and has already made a couple of small-dog friends, too. In fact, Sprig and her buddies have the cutest, fastest zoomies when they get together for a game of chase!

At 7 months old, Sprig is still very much a puppy and will need a family ready to help her continue learning all the basics while giving her plenty of opportunities for play, exercise, and growing into her best doggy self. If you're looking for a small, sweet companion with a playful side, Sprig might just be your girl!

Her minimum adoption fee is $325 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.

She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.

What happens next

  1. Contact Wish Bone Canine Rescue using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Wish Bone Canine Rescue, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
