Meet Missy, an 11-year-old Labrador Retriever mix with a heart of gold, a love for tennis balls, and absolutely no intention of letting a little thing like age slow her down!

Missy may be a senior, but don't tell her that! This happy girl still has plenty of pep in her step, a bouncy spirit, and a serious appreciation for the simple things in life: short strolls with her favorite volunteers, a good head scratch, and a tennis ball to call her own. She's proof that the golden years can still be filled with plenty of tail wags, happy moments, and reasons to smile.

Missy is looking for someone who appreciates the sweetness of a senior dog and is ready to help her get back to a healthier weight. With a healthy diet, appropriate exercise, and a little encouragement, we're hopeful she'll feel even better and have an extra spring in those steps! Slick floors can be challenging for her legs, so a home with good traction will help her get around more comfortably. She's also reported to be good with kids, cats, and other dogs.

What Missy wants most isn't complicated. She wants a soft place to land, a person who thinks she's wonderful just the way she is, and someone who will make sure her golden years are some of her happiest yet. In return, she'll offer her cheerful companionship, her love of the little things, and the kind of sweetness that only comes with a life well lived.
