Notes from Starfish Animal Rescue

Roo is one smart, spunky girl with plenty of personality

Born at the beginning of July, Roo is currently in a foster home with her brother, Pooh Bear. Her foster family has three dogs ranging from 10–80 lbs, children ages 10 and 14, and even a cat, so she is getting lots of experience with different people and pets. Roo is expected to grow into a beautiful girl weighing around 40–50 lbs.

Roo is always ready to play! A toy, her brother, another dog, or a willing person, she doesn't care who you are, just bring the fun! She is energetic, curious, and loves being part of whatever is happening. She is also a smart girl who is picking up her training quickly and already knows sit, touch, and “eyes on me.”

Like any puppy, Roo is still figuring out that toys are for chewing and furniture and ankles are not! She is learning her puppy manners and will need a family who is willing to continue working with her as she grows.

Once Roo has had a chance to get her puppy zoomies out, she is happy to settle in next to her person for some cuddles. At night, she currently sleeps with her brother in a playpen and is working hard on her potty training, making progress every day.

Roo would love a family who will keep her busy, continue her training, spoil her with plenty of toys, and appreciate her fun-loving, spunky personality. She has a big personality packed into one adorable puppy, and she is going to be so much fun!

The adoption fee of $550 will include spay/neuter, microchip,

age-appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm, and any other necessary medical treatment to ensure

a healthy new pup for your family. IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Although we do our best to describe the breed, since our pups all come from shelters, we can not and will not make any guarantee on breed or size. We can tell you that they are 100% RESCUED! And that is the BEST breed!

*Please note that we are a foster home-based rescue and we do home visits as part of the adoption process - we are unable to adopt to families who live outside of the Chicago and surrounding suburbs. Thank you for your understanding.
