Notes from Starfish Animal Rescue

Meet Bruno!

Bruno is an approximately 2-year-old, 50-pound poodle mix with a goofy, affectionate personality. He loves snuggling, playing fetch, and spending time with his people. Bruno gets along wonderfully with other dogs and could thrive with a canine companion or as your one-and-only.

He’s kennel trained, walks well on leash, and knows “sit” and “wait.” He’s still working on “down” and his manners, and may jump up when excited, so older children would likely be the best fit.

Playful, loving, and gentle with his toys, Bruno is happiest when he can make you laugh, join your adventures, and cuddle up afterward. If you’re looking for a fun-loving companion with plenty of heart, Bruno may be your perfect match!

If you are interested in adopting/meeting this pup , please complete our online adoption application that you can find here: https://www.starfishanimalrescue.com/adopt/dog-adoption-application . Your application will be reviewed by our team and if it is a good fit, we will be in touch

The adoption fee of $450 will include spay/neuter, microchip,

age-appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm, and any other necessary medical treatment to ensure

a healthy new pup for your family. IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Although we do our best to describe the breed, since our pups all come from shelters, we can not and will not make any guarantee on breed or size. We can tell you that they are 100% RESCUED! And that is the BEST breed!

*Please note that we are a foster home-based rescue and we do home visits as part of the adoption process - we are unable to adopt to families who live outside of the Chicago and surrounding suburbs. Thank you for your understanding.

What happens next

  1. Contact Starfish Animal Rescue using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Starfish Animal Rescue, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
