Notes from Starfish Animal Rescue
Meet Rowlf!
Rowlf is a sweet terrier mix born around mid-April 2026, and he is absolutely bursting with love, curiosity, and tail wags. He weighs 36# on 8/18/26. He enjoys exploring the world, playing with toys, and soaking up attention from everyone he meets. Rowlf is happiest when spending time with people and other dogs — a true social butterfly from day one!
He is a friendly, eager little guy who would thrive in a home that can offer plenty of love, patience, and positive training. Like all puppies, Rowlf is still learning the basics, but he is excited and ready to grow into a loyal, lifelong companion.
If you're looking for a playful best friend who will fill your days with joy, laughter, and unconditional love, Rowlf just might be your perfect match!
If you are interested in adopting/meeting this pup , please complete our online adoption application that you can find here: https://www.starfishanimalrescue.com/adopt/dog-adoption-application . Your application will be reviewed by our team and if it is a good fit, we will be in touch!
The adoption fee of $450 will include spay/neuter, microchip,
age-appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm, and any other necessary medical treatment to ensure
a healthy new pup for your family. IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Although we do our best to describe the breed, since our pups all come from shelters, we can not and will not make any guarantee on breed or size. We can tell you that they are 100% RESCUED! And that is the BEST breed!
*Please note that we are a foster home-based rescue and we do home visits as part of the adoption process - we are unable to adopt to families who live outside of the Chicago and surrounding suburbs. Thank you for your understanding.

- Contact Starfish Animal Rescue using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
- They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
- Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Starfish Animal Rescue, never to AdoptNearby.
- Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
