Notes from Pet Adoption League of Gem County

Meet Kya!

Kya is severely underweight, but she is now thriving with proper nutrition, a warm roof over her head, and a soft bed to sleep on.

While we are still learning about her and getting to know her personality, we already know that she absolutely adores people and has so much love to give. After her vet appointment we will have a better idea of her age.

We would love for you to come meet Kya in person. Please feel free to stop by or call and make an appointment—we are confident you will fall in love with her.

All

dogs are vaccinated, microchipped and spayed or neutered (if they are old enough) before they leave the shelter. If the dog is not old enough, you will be given a voucher for Animal Medical Center in Emmett to cover the cost of the spay or neuter and a one year rabies vaccine.

Please fill out an application if you are interested in this dog or call us today for more information.

Because we are an all-volunteer organization, please call ahead to schedule a time for a Meet & Greet so we can ensure a dog handler is available to show you the dog or dogs you are interested in.

What happens next

  1. Contact Pet Adoption League of Gem County using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Pet Adoption League of Gem County, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
