Notes from Pet Adoption League of Gem County

Meet Poppy!

This friendly 1.5 year old pup weighs around 40 pounds and is full of fun energy. She loves meeting new people and is always eager to make new friends wherever she goes.

Poppy is house trained and would thrive in an active home with a yard where she has plenty of room to run around, play, and burn off her energy. Poppy will do best in a home without cats or small dogs, but she is ready to bring endless joy and excitement to your life.

Submit an application today to see if Poppy is the match for you!

All dogs are vaccinated, microchipped and spayed or neutered (if they are old enough) before they leave the shelter. If the dog is not old enough, you will be given a voucher for Animal Medical Center in Emmett to cover the cost of the spay or neuter and a one year rabies vaccine.

Please fill out an application if you are interested in this dog or call us today for more information.

Because we are an all-volunteer organization, please call ahead to schedule a time for a Meet & Greet so we can ensure a dog handler is available to show you the dog or dogs you are interested in.

What happens next

  1. Contact Pet Adoption League of Gem County using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Pet Adoption League of Gem County, never to AdoptNearby.
