Notes from Ames Animal Services
My name is Darla and I am a little over a year and a half! I came to the shelter malnourished but am showing improvement and gaining weight at my foster home. I am very playful but also love to snuggle up to you. I am starting to become more talkative and just love to learn about everything around me. I love playing with the other dog and cats that are in my foster home, but can be shy at first meeting a new dog. I have had fun playing with kids 10+ that I have been around but don't fully know my size and can beclumsy and knock into you. My favorite toys are the squeakiest you can find! I also enjoy chewing on bones. My ears like to flop around but I am all about the ear rubs when you fix them for me. Car rides are so fun but I do enjoy just snoozing in them too. I do well in kennel at night with a bed and some toys. I would love if someone with the time and patience could give me my furever home to keep helping me build my confidence and have consistent habits!
