Notes from Emmet County Animal Shelter

***The first step in the adoption process is to complete the application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org***

Are you a true husky lover? Well meet Atlas! This boy is all Husky! The personality, the howl, the chattiness and the energy! Atlas has been bounced around a lot and his last home left him in pretty rough shape unfortunately. We have been working hard at helping him gain weight and get healthy again. He is very friendly, loves other dogs and people. He might be a bit much for small children but if you have teenagers that would need a running buddy and friend Atlas would like to submit his application! Atlas is 2 years old, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He will need continued work on his obedience training. Even though he had been to puppy training when he was younger his most recent owner left him tied to a tree most of the time. Atlas is a sweet guy that needs some consistency (other than a tree!) and to be told he is a good good boy! His adoption fee is $275.00

What happens next

  1. Contact Emmet County Animal Shelter using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Emmet County Animal Shelter, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
