Notes from Doggie Harmony

Ruffles showed up at foster's home and no one claimed him.

He’s very VERY playful! He can play fetch until your arm falls off! Super sweet and does happy dances! He is just pure delight! He’d be a great hiking partner!

He loves other dogs and would be happiest with a canine companion.

To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit.

We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself. Please expect an adoption fee of $300; some of our urgent or long-term dogs have discounted fees.

What happens next

  1. Contact Doggie Harmony using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Doggie Harmony, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
