Notes from Southern Comfort Animal Rescue

***Davis is with a loving foster near Stockton, NJ. An application for his adoption can be submitted at socorescue.com (no need to register or login). Questions about Davis and/or our adoption policy should be sent to socorescue8@gmail.com; please do not call the Rescue's number.***

We were recently made aware of a stray female dog that had been roaming a neighboring city. This dog would frequent a particular house as the family that lived there would provide her food, water and even shelter during bad weather. This girl has also been very elusive, preventing the family from catching her. Over the past year, this girl has now produced two litters, the latest being our "D" litter pups. SoCo Rescue is going to assist with capturing this girl and having her spay to prevent any further litters.

Davis is your typical, playful and lovable pup. He's been well-socialized towards people and should grow to be a very people-friendly dog. Of course, he'll require all of his basic training once in a new home.

We've just started Davis on his regiment of de-wormings and vaccinations. While still too young to receive his rabies vaccine (obtain after 12 weeks of age), he has already received 1 of 3 of his first year puppy vaccines. His adopter must agree to having Davis neutered once he reaches 6 months of age and provide verification of such to our rescue.

Per our adoption policy, Davis can be pre-adopted, but will not be released to his new home until a week after receiving his second vaccine (Est. released date: Nov. 9).
